Located in the North West Corner of Montana, in Lincoln County, this Ranch is surrounded by over 2.2 million acres that comprise the Kootenai National Forest. The Cabinet Mountain Wilderness, administered by the Kootenai National Forest is a primitive area encompassing over 94,000 acres of natural forest. The scenery is breathtaking with mountain views and the fishing is exceptional in the lakes, streams and rivers.
Elk are the primary game species but the area is also home to deer, moose, black bear, mountain lion, grizzly and numerous other smaller animals, turkey and birds. Trails transverse the forest providing opportunities for biking, hiking, hunting, cross-country skiing and horseback riding. Boating and fishing can also be enjoyed on Lake Koocanusa as well as many other lakes in the area. This area is known as the "Banana Belt of Montana". The climate is exceptional for gardening and outdoor living.
